2 bedroom cutie in Edwardsville for sale

Hey everyone!  It's me again.

This summer has been one of the best summers for Illinois real estate in years. In fact, I've been slammed with new listings in Alton, Godfrey, Edwardsville, Wood River, Brighton, East Alton, Jerseyville, Bethalto, and more that I can't currently recall.  Being a Realtor in southern Illinois means that sometimes the market isn't that quickest, but it will come back around, and we are seeing that now.

Speaking of Edwardsville, I just put another Edwardsville home up on the market over at 314 State St.  It's a cute 2 bedroom home thats a perfect starter or downsize.  It's clean, and has had a ton of new updates, including new roof, new high efficiency furnace and AC, new water heater, new pipes....the list goes on.  Here is a link to this Edwardsville gem.  Click the video to get a sneak peek!

Way too cute home in Jerseyville for sale

Ummmmm....hey everyone....

I just put this really cute efficient home up for sale in Jerseyville....and it's ADORABLE.

2 BED/1 BATH with hardwood floors, a huge back yard with wooden patio...yeah, you're going to want to see this.

$64,000  Contact me for me info.

In Alton, income generating properties are a big deal.  This new listing in Alton is exactly that...a big deal. That's because, above this 3 bed/1 bath home, is a full studio apartment complete with bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bathroom.

Imagine that you were able to buy a home, then rent out a small part of it, and that the rent would almost cover OR completely cover your monthly mortgage!  Not a bad deal.  Click the video below to take a quick tour of this home at 3302 Belle in Alton.

I love putting new homes for sale in Alton.  Especially since my office, Current Realty, is right here in Alton Illinois.  Alton is known for having older homes, and sometimes this means homes that are dated and needing some loving.  But this Alton home is the exact opposite.  It's been well taken care of, and almost looked like it was just remodeled.  Alton Illinois isn't just about older homes anymore. Click the video to take a tour of 3200 Mission in Alton.  3 bed/1 bath, huge yard, attached garage, oversized workmans shed, and of course, a 1 year home warranty.

Being a Realtor sometimes has nothing to do with work....

I have really been paying more attention to the people I come into contact with as of late. Or maybe I should say, the DIFFERENT KINDS of people.

Sometimes life has an interesting way of putting things into perspective.  My job can be stressful, and sometimes when things aren't going well, it seems like life could stop for the whole universe if the details don't get hammered out.

Now don't get me wrong, my job has a lot on the line for my clients AND myself.  With that said, it's easy to lose perspective on things, whether it be buying a house, stubbing a toe, or maybe something worse.

Today, I had a phone call with a work colleague .  I was going to start the conversation by ranting about a couple of deals I am working on that are giving me fits, and how I have been stressing about them for several days.

But before I could start my speech, I was told that my friend's younger sister had passed away in her mid-20's a few days prior.

I immediately forgot whatever it was I was going to say, and listened to him tell me the backstory.

After hanging up the phone, I forgot about my own troubles for a while. I mean, they eventually came back within a couple hours, but they didn't affect me as much.

Perspective is an interesting thing. Sometimes our moments of  individual perspective are someone else's moments of their world falling apart.

Whatever you do....keep it together.

Sometimes, my job is stressful.  There are a lot of moving parts and people lives can be affected if things don't go well. It's something that I take personally, even if it's not my clients that are affected.

I have always been told that I am a people pleaser....but I don't see it as that.  I think of myself more as a person that just wants to see everyone around me be happy, and if I can help contribute to that...well, seems like a logical choice.

Buying a house is never simple. It's almost always like riding a rollercoaster, and in the end, you might puke and you might not...it all depends on how well you can handle the ride.
